This right here. This is what compelled me to start photographing people instead of animals. This bond. Becoming a mom was the best thing I ever did for my photography business because it helped me to see people in a different way and showed me how powerful and emotional photography can be.

Babies bring families together in such a beautiful way and I love creating images that show their love for this new little person who has completely changed their world for the better.

Newborn sessions are very different from the other family sessions I offer. They are photographed in the home, several weeks after your baby is born, and are baby-led, meaning we take breaks whenever we need to for the comfort of your little one. Unlike other newborn photography sessions, there is no rush to complete your session in the first ten days, while the baby is still sleepy. And here’s why…I want to show the incredible bond between you and your newest family member. Your baby won’t start making eye contact until they are about six weeks old. That’s also when they start smiling (especially when they see your face). This is what I want to capture! Waiting for a few weeks also gives you and your family a chance to adjust to having a completely altered schedule from what you are used to and makes for a much more relaxed session.

We will discuss ahead of time which rooms you want to use for your session so that you can make sure they look the way you want them to but I typically prefer to use the nursery, the master bedroom and the living room for newborn sessions (as long as there is enough light).

Newborn sessions are $595 and include 15 digital images with additional images available for purchase. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking with the remainder due within 1 week of your session.
