The Family Experience

When it’s time to document the next chapter in your story, remember that family photos should be fun! They shouldn't be stressful or make you want to sell your kids because they aren't cooperating. Because when you're having fun with your favorite people, that joy comes across in every image.

And the best way to have fun is to just enjoy being with your people.

This isn’t an “everyone stand here and smile for the camera” type of session. We’ll play a few silly games (that even your teens will enjoy, even if they won’t admit it). We’ll explore and find cool things to investigate. I’ll tell dad jokes. There’s snuggling and a lot of laughing. No matter what, every session is tailored to you and your family so that I can tell your story in the best possible way.

Each session includes 15 digital images, available for immediate download from your edited gallery, as well as assistance with any questions you have during the process (including what to wear and how to prepare your family for session day).

What to Expect…

  • Step 1

    Email me using the link below so we can chat about your session and find a date and time that works for your family.

    Once you’ve scheduled your session, we will set up a time to discuss specifics and I can learn more about your family so that I can tell your story in the best way.

  • Step 2

    Session Day!! Get ready for some games, stories, silly jokes and adventure while you connect with the people you love the most.

    Sessions last about 90 minutes. Every session is different but you can count on plenty of laughing, snuggling, hugging and maybe even a piggy back race…

  • Step 3

    Once I’m finished editing your images, you will receive a link to your gallery where you will be able to choose and download the 15 images included in your session fee. Additional images will be available for purchase as well.

    You will also receive a link to download an app with your chosen images so you have them on your phone to share with friends and family.

  • What should my family and I wear for our session?

    Whatever you want! But I’ve found that the best looking sessions are ones where the family wears coordinating colors and dresses for their own personal style. Click the link below for my tips on my blog.

  • Where will our session be photographed?

    I have a few places in Tampa where I love to photography my families. If you’re the outdoorsy type, I have a wooded area in Odessa that has the most beautiful light at sunset. If you’re looking for more of a “downtown” feel, the Riverwalk is another great spot. And of course, there’s always the beach. When we talk at your pre-session consultation, we will find the place that best fits you and your family.

  • What will my family and I do at our photography session?

    Whatever you want! Each session is designed to tell YOUR family’s story so the sessions are unique to each family. Some families just want to update their family photos and some have something important they want to document for the future. It’s totally up to you!     What to Expect at your Family Photo Session

  • How do you keep kids engaged during the session so they want to participate?

    Every session is different (and we switch directions as often as needed, depending on the kids) but we play a lot of games and tell silly jokes and explore and I take pictures the entire time. If you have younger kids, we may incorporate books and bubbles into the session. My main goal is to find ways for you and your family to connect (so that your focus isn’t on the camera) and kids really respond to this type of session.
